Vice President of Recruitment and Marketing (January 2023 – December 2023)
I was voted into this position by the chapter at the start of our 2023 Spring Semester in January, and I still hold the position until December 2023, when a new board will be voted on. This position makes me responsible for informal Spring 2023 and formal Fall 2023 recruitment. During the Spring informal recruitment, I increased the chapter total by 10%, hosted two open events, communicated with potential new members to set up meetings with members to seek interest, and promoted the events and meetings on social media. I led the chapter through a 5-day recruitment process during the Fall formal recruitment. We had four recruitment rounds over the five days with over 12 hours daily. I acquired everything needed for the room decorations, established the dress code, and followed Panhellenic’s rules.
Director of Alumni Relations (January 2022 – December 2022)
As the director of Alumni Relations, I planned and hosted two successful events for our Alumni to participate in. Since COVID happened, the relationship between our Alumni and chapter has been weak, so my goal was to reconnect and strengthen that bond. The first event I held was during the Spring semester called “Growing with Alumni.” During this event, we had pots to paint and bags of dirt and seeds to grow flowers. We had active members and Alumni sit at tables together to get to know each other and bond.
The second event I hosted during my term was an Alumni Tailgate for the Ball State Homecoming game. This was in celebration of our chapter, Zeta Kappa, 30th anniversary. I reserved a tent from the Ball State Alumni Center and then had active members bring tailgate food. We had yard games and hung out with our Alumni! It was a very successful event, and we had Alumni from all over the country, from Arizona to Florida, for this tailgate in Muncie, Indiana.
