Hey there! It’s been a minute since I’ve caught up with you all, and some big changes are coming! Life’s been throwing surprises left and right, and I’ve been on a rollercoaster ride of changes and adventures. Also, a few new people have joined since starting my blog almost a year ago, so I wanted to take this time to re-introduce myself as well.
So let me please re-introduce myself, I’m Abby Dobson, and ever since May 29th, 2023, when I first hit publish on my blog, I’ve been on cloud nine, living out my dream of sharing my thoughts and experiences with the world. Blogging started as a digital escape for me, a way to capture memories and create a virtual scrapbook for my future self. For the past 18 years, I’ve called Michigan home, but my journey took a turn when I ventured to Indiana for college—and let me tell you, it was the best decision I ever made. Along the way, I’ve developed a love for sunsets, coffee, staying active, staying organized, and, of course, a bit of retail therapy. As I dive back into the blogging world, I’m thrilled to have you by my side for this journey.
I’m super excited to share that I’m off to Chattanooga, Tennessee this summer! I’ll be doing an internship at a cool wedding planning company there, Before The Vows. It’s a big change from my usual surroundings here in Muncie, Indiana, but I can’t wait to dive in and learn all about planning weddings. I have visited Chattanooga many times in the past and love the city with many pretty views and fun things to do. I’m ready for new adventures and can’t wait to share all about them!
I’m graduating early this December, a semester ahead of originally planned. I’ve been working hard, and now I’m finishing up my studies with only one semester left in the Fall with a double major in Public Relations and Advertising, focusing on event planning. It’s been a journey full of challenges and late-night study sessions, but I’m so proud to say I have almost made it! I can’t wait to see where my degrees take me next and all the cool events I’ll get to plan along the way.
After graduation this December, I’m packing up and heading back to Chattanooga, Tennessee! It’s a big move for me, but I’m excited for the adventure. Chattanooga is a beautiful city with lots of cool things to see and do. Plus, I’ve got some family there, so I won’t be completely on my own. I feel like there are many opportunities for me in Chattanooga with lots of room to grow within my career. I’m looking forward to exploring my new home, meeting new people, and starting this next chapter of my life in a place full of possibilities.
As I wrap up this update, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the journey that lies ahead. From the highs of starting my blog and embarking on new adventures to the bittersweet farewells and exciting beginnings on the horizon, every twist and turn has shaped me into the person I am today.
